There was a fundamental difference between the two incidents...Grealish was more than aware the ball was travelling in his direction from 10 yards away... Smith didn't have a scooby doo he was in the firing line from 2.

We've conceded pens where it's struck another body part first so either that rule doesn't exist or isn't applied equally.

I think it was clarified mid season wasn’t it? Hence the inconsistencies.

Absolutely this. Ref gives a goal kick whilst VAR check for a penalty. Even the linesman missed the handball and corner. Shows just how useless some of our officials are. Throw them into the mix with the standard of VAR and we're well and truly fcuked

I remember them certainly saying it was harsh to give a penalty if that happened but then most handballs are.
