@afcbournemouth midfielder Harry Arter has been named in the senior squad for the first time. http://bit.ly/1FR0yM4 #MakeTheMatch

Just seen him popping into the MRI unit at Poole. He was walking freely but presume this was for his right calf. Fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed indeed - a vital player for us. I've just seen this from the other day - I think he talks really well and is a bit Eddie-esc in the way he subtly reminds fans to trust what they are doing. I like Harry more and more as the years go by.

The last thing we need. Hopefully it's one of these precautionary things to avoid international duty. He's been incredibly unlucky with injuries affecting his international career but for selfish reasons I hope he withdraws and concentrates on getting fit for us.

This. He had some treatment and carried on so it's probably a genuine check that they would do anyway and we'd never normally hear about it... or a golden opportunity to pull him from the squad and keep him rested as he's in such good form.

Didn't he make his last injury worse by playing through the pain for Ireland? Hope he's learned his lesson : )

Certainly seems like he's about to pulled from the squad, kinda gutted for him, but as much as I hate to admit it, from a selfish point of view, a little bit grateful. Here's hoping it clears up for November

According to Roy Keane the scan looked positive but Harry's is saying his hamstring is still feeling a bit tight.

On sky soccer Saturday they were saying as he hasn't played a competitive game for Ireland he could STILL play for England!!

Maybe he could, but why the hell would he want to?

Arter could be the solution to that problem, but Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane today confirmed that he is almost certainly not going to feature against either Georgia or Moldova after picking up a groin injury.

"The medical staff is in contact with his club but it doesn't look too good," Keane said.

"It is a shame because he is an important player for us and he has been unlucky with one or two injuries lately going back to before the Euros. Fingers crossed he will be fit in the next week or two but not in time for our games."

Arter has made two appearances for Ireland - both coming in friendlies - meaning that he could theoretically still declare for England, the country of his birth.

Arter should stay as far away from that circus as he possible can.
Not least because we need him playing as few games as is possible to let his body recover from his mental style of play.

Harry reckons Watford was our best support since he's been here. Big statement but it wasn't bad in fairness. I thought it was quite good natured too - clapping Watford for returning our "we score when we want" song after they equalised. Then returning with the loudest "Campeones" chant I've heard. That will never get old against them.

Fulham away was better, definitely - support throughout the game, at half time and afterwards!

I don't think last week was even close to being the best, even the Watford game we lost in the first Championship season was better and we lost that by some margin!

Harry was with the rest of the boys playing footgolf yesterday down at Iford golf course so must be reasonably ok to be doing that.
