Hate Hurts Everyone

Totally agree Rednblack, the club does do some things well. My experience is, having been to many different grounds with a wheelchair user, our club tries their best and it's better than a lot of them. It's not perfect by any means but any group of thousands of people from all sections of society, is going to have a selection of knobheads in it.

By and large, the Good Lady has only had to raise her voice a couple of times in all the matches she's been to in Dean Court. If anyone has left their seat early or returning to it late after half-time. Please remember, when you stop to watch an exciting piece of action, you're depriving at least a half dozen people behind you of seeing it. They're in the front 2 rows for a reason, one of them is an inability to jump up and look around you and they can't see through you. It's a live sporting event, the people in the front rows are as invested in the LIVE drama as you are, so when they "shout and bark" at you, it's because you're selfishly ruining their involvement in the drama, just as much as someone standing in front of you at that moment.

Something else that has crept in , in recent years, is climbing over people in wheelchairs. As Ben says in the video, he's had able bodied people climb over his legs, rather than ask the able bodied people blocking their way, to move. Richard the Secondheart had people put their hand on his shoulder as they climb from their seats behind him. He's in a wheelchair because of a spinal injury, he doesn't need a fully grown adult pressing down on his shoulders, it's not only common sense it's common courtesy.

Well done the lad in the video for accepting he was in the wrong and deserved his punishment.

Football, football clubs and those associated with the game can be such a beneficial impact in highlighting so many issues such as the club has done here.

Equally, Jeff Stelling’s recent emotional outburst over the lack of understanding and support regarding those with eating disorders (linked to mental health) has received significant media coverage, and rightly so.

Just watched it, RnB. For some reason we recorded it this Saturday, Geoff's rant comes after a very good piece about mental health. Well worth watching.

That's shocking Rob, we've had some poor experiences but nothing as bad as that. Then to insult the lady even more, they offer a her a voucher off future stays : (
