I be robbed at knife point

Have the police questioned Roger East?

Seriously though, glad to hear he got away relatively unscathed and hope it doesn't have a lasting impact on him.

Heading Home? Near Surrey Quays?
Move closer to the club you play for.
Might explain something.

Terrible that it happened tho, and Leon Knight's tweets are interesting.

Indeed Al, if Ibe is still living in South London and commuting back and forth every day, that cannot be helping him settle.

Time for a bit of pastoral advice, Eddie !

You mean a bit like the many thousands of people who live in Bournemouth and commute to London every day for their work Monday to Friday ?

Do they all need to move to be settled ?

To be fair to him, he was born in Bermondsey and so it isn't beyond the realms of possibility he has a permanent place around there as well as a rental down in Bournemouth. I'm pretty sure his wages could cover the cost of running more than one home...

I think 3 1/2 hours less on the road each day might just improve his so far very average performances.

I am guessing as said above that he probably rents a flat down here ,and has a place in London as well.
He probably stays down here most of the week but goes home when he feels like it,he is young after all.
Not a nice thing to happen to him,I was robbed in West London when I was 18,not at knifepoint, but threatened with a brick,so I would imagine he is in shock .
In future he is probably better off going up and down by train, those big cars attract too much attention .

Regardless of the location a nasty experience. Property can be replaced just glad that he wasn't stabbed or cut.

I've just seen this on the BBC and feel very sorry for the lad and thankful he was sensible and gave up the watch. That can be easily replaced. It might have been the family home he was going to. I can't believe he commuted from London to Liverpool either.

At quarter to two on a Sunday afternoon he could well have been going to his mum's house for Sunday lunch.

The incident seems to have happened on the Sunday lunchtime after the Sunderland game. Ibe only played the first half of that game so a quick warm down at DC and off to South London for the weekend with his mates.

A young man is robbed at knifepoint and all that matters to some people is what was he doing in London. Only on this board!
