What was all that with the back four in first half and into 2nd????
A right back playing out of position. Felt sorry for Adam Smith.
(It didn't work in cup game when it was last tried)
Everyone around me in North stand noticed it wasn't right from the start and that it needed changing.
Once it was all swopped round they looked solid.
Why did it take so long for that change to be made????

Whatever the reasons it all turned out OK :)

Spoke about it at length. It wasnt just Smith at left back that was the issue. It was Francis playing right back where he hadly plays anymore and doesnt have the fitness levels he used to and Cook on the wrong side of defence for him as he plays far better on the left.

The whole back line was in the wrong position. As proved on 55 minutes when Eddie swapped it around to immediate and pretty dramatic effect. The mark in Eddies book from the match is that he didnt change it earlier when everyone could see it. If Junior hadnt have been injured I'm pretty sure he would have been answering some questions about it.

As it is, hopefully lesson learned and we can push on ever stronger.
