If the younger lads start tonight

And things don't pan out as we hope, let's stay with them and give them all the support we can. I don't for one minute think that the majority of our support will get on anyone's backs but you always get the odd idiot so if one's sat next to you tell them to shut thef#ck up and just cheer louder than them.

At least with injuries and lack of activity in the market we get a chance for some of our academy players who have been around for a while and looked good at times to stake a claim.
The likes of Kilkenny,Anthony, Zemura and Ibsen Rossi.
If a couple of those play tonight and have a good game they might have themselves a more regular place in the season where previously they would have just hibernated until next season’s friendlies or a dreaded team cup performance….

Agreed, if they’re chucked in at the deep end and they struggle to immediately acclimatise to the rigours of championship football then that’s not on them, it’s on the club for putting them in this position. They deserve our unwavering support.

Needs must tonight. But a great opportunity for a youngster or two to nail down a starting spot under the new manager.
It will be interesting to see how it all pans out tonight !

This game will not define our season but there is added interest with so many of the old guard not fit to play !

Totally agree

They did really well. Kilkenny was fantastic in the first half. They wised up to him a bit more in the second half and dispossessed him a few times. He still put in a couple of good passes, though. With some work on his strength and I think we could have a bit of a star in young Gav. Jordan and Jaidon grew into the first half too and nice assist for Jaidon in first half and sort of assist for Jordan in the second. My main concern is Travers. He's a confident shot stopper but looks very vulnerable with crosses coming in. Think he could have come for the ball with that first goal. Needs some serious catching/punching help to help him be more dominant. Really hope we get a goalie loan and that Trav can go out on loan and build up his confidence in these ways.
