Lots of niggles and a couple of players out.

Had / have high hopes for Afobe up top in a 4-3-3 (as opposed to being crowbared into that deep role). Hope he's fit soon. Same old AFCB injuries.

Bad news if players like Afobe or hyndman miss pre season as so hard to fit into the Bournemouth style of play without that fitness level.

I was lambasted several times for being critical of Afobe last season, and everyone told me "Give him time... he needs a full pre season and then judge..."

I genuinely hope and want Afobe to be huge for us, but I worry if a pre season is what he needed to help him learn...!!!!! Fingers crossed for the lad...

Not doing any work on time off

Three or four weeks isn't a lot of time, but it's long enough for your body to lose a lot. If you neglect your body in that time you will pick up strains when the training ramps back up again. I'm not saying that's what is happening but there is an expectation to live like monks during the season I'm not surprised time off is seen as exactly that

I know they don't always, I regularly see players out and about of a weekend, but the point still stands

Well at least Afobe's seems pretty minor.
