Jefferson Lerma

He was awesome today. Covered every blade of grass, got in their faces and wound them up. Eventually they realised the only way they could stop him was to foul him and try to get into his face. Only at the end when Alli got into him physically did he finally retaliate. Alli thought the midfield should've been his stage but Lerma had other ideas. Top job by the Colombian assassin!

Nope. He didn’t stamp on him, he nicked the ball away from him without touching him barely at all. And “Thump”? Please.
It a cynical bit of play. Subtle enough to warrant a yellow if spotted by the ref but aggressive enough to provoke a red from an opposition player. Some might not like it but it’s intelligent play. If we don’t play intelligently our rivals will. A necessary dark art that’s needed to even up the general top 6 bias

Look, it's simple.
Every team has a player that we particularly hate.

It harps back to Fred Binney at Exeter and Alan Warboys at Bristol Rovers.

Now, at last, we have a player that other clubs hate, because he mixes it up with their pampered big name stars.
Long may he reign.
And, he has a free week at Palace, because if he gets booked, it will mean nothing as it's all afresh in August.

May I suggest he uses that booking up on Zaha?

But not in the penalty area.
