No you can only have 4 in a season(eg 2 season long loans or 4 six month loans or a combination of the two), only two at a time and only one from the parent club. So unless Ake or Wilshere sign on a permanent contract or get sent back to the parent club in January it's not going to happen. The rules for premier league clubs haven't changed only football league clubs.

I guess there's less room for Ake now given lots of LB cover, Mind return, and Wilsheres arrival. So basically lazy paper talk, but could see swapping him for Ake, cover at RB more pressing than LB. All that said though, no idea if he's good enough

Yes true I forgot about the loan rules.
Really can't see anything in it then, unless we sign him permanently.
Weren't we interested in him before he went to Liverpool or am I imagining that?

Looked absolute quality before he got injured. Every inch an Eddie Howe type of player. Would love us to sign him permanently one day but suspect Liverpool have big plans for him. Not sure he'd see much game time with us this season, barring injuries, but would be a very welcome addition to the squad all the same. He'll get quite a lot of England caps if he picks up where he left off pre-injury.

With the news this weekend, think this is thread is now well worth a bump and certainly a player to keep an eye on as a potential target. We were after him when he went to Liverpool in the first place.

Any truth in the rumour that Lfc are to exercise the buy-back clauses of Ibe & B.Smith based on their scintillating form.
OR
Should we be contacting the kennel club after being sold a couple of fake pups. :upto:

yes let's go for another Liverpool player.....the two we've got have been brilliant

I don't think playing for Liverpool makes you a bad player. I suspect despite the eye watering fees for you guys players the wages are probably pretty reasonable and we do need to be thinking about succession planning for some of our older guys.

Out of interest are these guys we're getting from Liverpool linked with Brendan Rodgers?

If Liverpool get van Dijk, as this seems to say looks likely, then that pushes him even further down the pecking order.
