they always used to, players used to attend, in this weather there isn't a lot for kids to do.
They still do the Christmas one, but (I think) you have to win the ballot to attend.

We used to make jigsaws, build model airplanes and start putting a guy together for the bonfire. no such thing as halloween back then.
