The hotel next to my company’s office is a refugee centre. A deal struck while it is having an extension added in its car park.

it’s so sad. Hundreds of people spending their day sat on redundant office or bedroom chairs in a car park in the drizzle in a midlands industrial estate. Apparently sleeping three to a room in bunks.

I know this is probably preferable to feeling unsafe but it’s tragic to see human life reduced to such living and such boredom. I don’t have an answer to the solution and I don’t have a political point to make but if you see it daily at first hand how anyone wouldn’t want to do something positive for fellow humans that lost in life’s birth lottery is beyond me.
