Non - Boris Johnson

Seriously though, if his own party can't force him out, and the people cannot, what next? How do the government expect to...govern?

Don’t like the bloke or what he stands for. I do think though that when backed into a corner you should come out punching and Gove had that coming for years. Reprehensible character. Sunak also doesn’t understand the burden on the ordinary person on the street. Javid politicking for his own good. If he takes some of those snakes down before he goes it’s to all our good imo.

The Tories behaviour today with their mass baling out... Is almost comical as well as sad...Johnson was their God and shining light a few months back..what does it say about their loyalty and integrity... a few setbacks they turn to jelly...and default to independant of their leader...he becomes sh*t on their shoes bingo.

It's OK for Shapps to look all pale, drawn, forlorn and serious...f√ck sh*t Batman the little b@stard's b@stard was sunning himself a la champagne and caviar abroad whilst folk were dying from Covid...after telling the Nation not to go on holiday..
...
And Javed....the clever cnut worked out this script during Covid I reckon...attached himself to Boris like a limpet to gain leverage on the upwardly mobile Cabinet ticket...now prises himself off opportunistically at the right time...f√cking ruthless conniving little wart....like the f√cking earwig what ate my nice lettuces when I took my garden eyes off the ball for a few days !

Sunak not quite so clever ...didn't conceal the wifey Money stuff enough...,thereby relegating himself from the Premier striking position..Doh.

Usually the Tories are ruthless when they sense electoral blood with their leader, but as was suggested earlier in the thread, they got the vote of no confidence wrong in its timing.

One route out would be Labour as the opposition bringing about a motion in Parliament for a vote of no confidence. I think thats technically possible. But why should they?

Technically speaking the Queen can step in, but that hardly seems realistic.

When the dust settles Boris will have to try putting a cabinet together. So I think it'll depend on him finding enough MPs to fill those roles and carry on a bit longer.

Johnson's a fighter ..you have to concede that...
..an undignified one yes..but a fighter all the same.

Two of the recent scandals have involved one tosser watching porn on his phone...and the other, an off duty, romping, rump - jumping galoot playing pocket billiards in a sordid, dodgy, downtown bagshanty....it seems a shame that an elected British PM can be brought down and ridiculed because of the behaviour of such verminous creeps.

These types are far removed from the likes of Churchill and the many other dignified politicians of yesteryear. Johnson too is far removed from those by virtue of his Bufoonery ..

..but at least he will Fight...unlike his fellow modern day Tories.

I agree with that Neil but I’d go a step further. I want to see the back of Johnson but I’m pleased he’s taking the stance he is with his party for no other reason than they deserve it.

They had the opportunity a few weeks ago to vote for change when Johnson’s leadership was challenged. They’ve known for sometime what he’s like and they had the perfect opportunity to affect change (especially given a weak opposition) but no, they all want to protect their positions. Now they see the writing on the wall and how they’re being seen by the British public, they’re starting to turn. Too little too late.

Johnson only lives to the next crisis.

So the 1922 have the election for a new executive on Monday. Change the rules on Tuesday and hold a vote Tuesday night.

Johnson is betting he can offer enough peerages/jobs to get enough on his side.

If that doesn't work then he has the nuclear option of a general election. He figures that the tories will have to rally to the flag or lose their seats.

Don't underestimate his need to cling on to power, he still thinks he's Churchill.

"These are my principles and if you don't like them I have others" (Marxist quote).

Sunak and him stuck up for the Liar too many times.
So if you really want to understand the morals of our current conservative Gov then look at it this way.
Boris has lied over party gate and all the other scandals but the straw that broke the camel's back for them was when it directly affected them. For example most of Boris's lies have affected us the general public but pincher was appointed into a role of pastoral care for Tory MP's so then they reacted.
Tells you every you need to know about the level of self interest in our government!
