Non - Boris Johnson

Nope, can’t say I’ve seen any benefits. Can you remind me again what they were.
SDD stated that certain industries have seen an increase in wages because the employers can no longer get cheap European labour.

People in those industries have clearly benefitted.

Ah, the Derek argument. Never had you as a socialist. Welcome aboard!

Just a reminder of RH's position again...

"They get in because people are quite rightly concerned about the lunatics occupying the opposition, no mystery about it."

Apparently the opposition parties are the lunatics, he doesnt think the current bunch are bad enough.

Hindsight is great druss. However the last general election was back in 2019, before Covid and all of the shenanigans that followed played out by "the current bunch". Corbyn and Labour were hardly covering themselves in glory back then .The lunatic quote was slightly satirical but really shouldn't need explaining after donkeys years of debating politics with you.

My personal view is that many politicians are shysters. Pop along to a local council meeting to see potential leaders in action and ask yourself if this is actually a grown ups kintergarden you're witnessing. We actually have a classic case leading our very own BCP, heaven help us.

Back in the Brexit thread, thousands of pages ago I mentioned that Johnson should have been binned directly after delivering brexit and I was proven right. The fact you, me or anyone else was unable to do anything about it is how politics works.

Are you still on board? Seems like you've jumped ship tbh Stan.
I know, it’s a shame. I’ve always supported a minimum wage for unskilled manual workers but it’s turned me into a Tory, even though they voted against it. Clearly you see the minimum wage for such workers as exploitative and that it suppresses wages. I look forward to seeing you in your Lenin t shirt shouting “power to the people “.

Eh, how have you come to the conclusion that I see the minimum wage as exploitative after two pages of me banging on about how boosting wages for workers is always a good thing?

Did we need to leave the EU for everyone to have a pay rise? Don't remember that one on the side of a bus
In the mire we currently inhabit, do we have to beware of hyperinflation? Pro Brexit eggs to elucidate

A quote from the estimable Dickens

“Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen and six , result happiness.
Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery”
