Non - Clattenburg

First Team
So v Arsenal Callum tries to get out of the way of a shot which hits his hand and goes in. Decision, no goal, it didn't matter it was accidental because it caused the goal. Today, Sanchez scores with his hand but because it was accidental it didn't matter. Decision, goal. Don't you just love the double standards.

...decided not to stress over the refs as the inconsistencies are to many and too often....just hope we get some of the poor decisions go our way most of the times

After the game, Hull defender Andrew Robertson told Sky Sports that Clattenburg had apologised to the Hull players after half-time.

Robertson added: "The ref told us he didn't give it because he wasn't 100% sure. Not many referees can admit they're wrong, so it's good when he does, though it doesn't make things better."

From BBC report.

For a deliberate handball, Football Association laws state:

there must be "movement of the hand towards the ball"
the "distance between opponent and the ball" should be considered

On this occasion, Sanchez did not look like he purposefully pushed the ball into the net and he had little time to move out of the way after the ball came off Jakupovic.

After consultation with his assistant, referee Mark Clattenburg awarded the goal, but prior to that in the first half, Theo Walcott had a shot blocked by the hand of Clucas inside the area, for which no penalty was given.

On BeIN Sports here they said at half time that because the ball was moving away from goal, a freekick should have been given.

I don't blame the ref for this one, it was so quick and was bodies all around it. It's easy for us at half time watching 15 replays in slow motion.

PGMOL fan boys trotting out the excuse that its a difficult job which the highly paid team of officials cant be expected to get right working as a team.

The ref couldn't have clearly seen it but the linesman was directly in line with a clear view.

As Fox27 stated, this is clearly double standards, when you think of Callum's 'goal'. If we were told it had to be disallowed as it converted the shot into a goal, then Sanchez also has to be disallowed. Both were accidental touches yet one allowed and one not - one of these decisions was wrong!

Great work from Clatts making sure our points gap to the bottom three is maintained. The handball was quite funny but not sending off the Arsenal player for the DOGSO/assault was brilliant!

It's not double standards as the ref missed the Sanchez handball but saw the Wilson handball. The fact the ref apologised to Hull shows he was applying the same standard.

Call it poor officiating - since it should have been spotted - but for this incident that's all it is.

As the linesman saw Sanchez clearly, it has to be poor officiating at best. He must have told Clattenburg what he saw and they both decided it was accidental and allowed it. Clattenburg decided that Callum was deliberate?? If so, that is poor refereeing at best too. One of these two decisions was clearly wrong!

There's not a cat in hells chance that Kings goal is disallowed is Aguero scores the same goal. We saw ourselves how much
leniency Aguero was afforded with offsides for example

Double standards

you'll be able to slag a new ref off soon presumably

...plenty to choose from wellsworld if I am honest....the game has become to much for it NOT to have video intervention...probably not the person reffing's fault, just the way the game has gone...especially with players cheating and arguing most of the time!

able to slag a new ref off soon

Harsh but fair critism of the capability and leadership of the PGMOL, seems they only produce not fit for purpose officials and some fans have lowered their expectations to meet this.
