Non - David Cornwell

He was born in a house near Poole Park I think.
A man from Poole who basically wrote about the ' fag end ' of our Empire through the world of espionage...quite political, incredibly realistic and with some flawed but interesting characters...working in MI5 and MI6 gave him massive insight into murky stuff !
...had he lived longer he had plenty of material at his disposal with current scenarios!
I've read All his books about spies..and the Pigeon Tunnel - Stories from my Life was great for insights into his whole career and the diversity of characters he engaged with..
RIP.

I've admired his books for years, always thought provoking & I came away the richer for it.

From the personal tales a couple of years back, what a colurful personal life & upbringing - master stort teller alongside Frederick Forsyth in my eyes.

Will be greatly missed, never knew the Poole connection either, we live & learn ...
