Now that Germany will host the Euro 2024 competition, it does seem that they have done very well in winning these bids over the years compared to us. When you consider how similar we are for stadium capacity & facilities, host city hotel spaces and transport infrastructure, since we had the WC in 1966 they will have hosted the WC 1974 and 2006 and Euros 1988 and 2024. I know the thieving little git Blatter seemed to put a block on England winning any kind of bids for a long time (not sure if he was in charge for Euro 1996?) but Germany certainly know how to put in a decent bribe bid for these things ;)

is the Dusseldorf stadium the one Max and his team built?
 
The only other bidders were Turkey and they were told 3 weeks ago that accomodation in the proposed areas was poor.

All being well, might just attend this tournament..if we qualify.
