Non - Mangled Song Lyrics

Toronto John

Fans' Favourite
We all have songs in our heads where we were sure we knew the words, and then had an epiphany when we heard a cover, or read the lyrics on-line, or a buddy clued us in.

There are probably thousands of examples. Here are a couple of my favourites:

Why is Johnny Rivers singing about a secret Asian man, and what is his secret?

And I love that Enrique wants to let the rhythm take us over by the balls.

Looking forward to hearing others.

Wet Wet Wet - Wishing I was lucky

'I was living in a land of make believe, when my best mate owned a toupe'

Reminds me of when my mate's little brother came up to us as we were playing on the N64 in the mid 90s and asked "Lads, what's a Trombalese?"

We asked him what he was talking about and to use the word in context so he sang...

"My love has got no money, he's got his Trombalese..."

We told him it was a type of rain coat.

The fabulous Desmond Dekker, and
'poor me, me ears are alight'
still makes me laugh after all these years...

I always wondered what was so great about his dungarees........
