Non - Meyrick Park

Went there a few years ago, I'm sure there used to be public toilets? Quite concerning considering a member of my family has diabetes.

Unless there are some and we missed them.

Depends if the bowls/tennis courts are open if not then there is a cafe plus toilets if not there are toilets at the cafe/gym past the golf shop.

Used to be stand alone separate ladies and gents opposite where the old football pitch used to be but they were closed down and the pavilion was turned into Old Oakmedians Rugby Club clubhouse.

Actually I played rugby for oakmeadians for many years, prior to them given meyrick Park to play in.
Now thats an interesting story involving a Councillor

I don’t get the context of this thread but I have many great childhood memories of Meyrick Park. The woods walking down from St Augustines with all those pine cones on the ground, onto the playing fields with a football, playing cricket for Porchester School, the pavilion built into the bank that looked so huge and imposing, especially when looking down onto the field from the café. Fantastic memories.
