Doesn’t the indictment relate, not to the payment as such, but to the allegation that Trump fraudulently classified it as a business expense, so as to avoid tax.

These things normally play into his anti establishment hands. You get the feeling this is a step to far for him to come back from.

If Biden does stay on as is looking likely and Trump survives this and wins the republican nomination their battle for the presidency could be one of the most hilarious contests we’ve ever seen. Hilarious if it didn’t have such implications on the worlds stability and economy that is!

Not sure this is going to do anything to his chances.

To vote for Trump you'd need to buy into the narrative the last election was stolen, Jan 6th was peaceful and nothing to do with him and those in jail are wrongly convicted political prisoners. Anyone that buys all that won't be bothered by what they see as another fit-up job.

Tend to agree. Once you believe the Trump narrative, you won't be swayed by anything. All boils down to guns IMO.
 
I put Sky News on last night at 10.30 pm to watch the what’s in tomorrow papers discussion and did the same a couple of nights before.

Both programmes were interrupted at the start by breaking news, one was about an American trial involving a film star and last night about Trump.

They showed the same footage of Trump at some rally over and over again and discussion between the studio presenter and their American reporter.

The papers half hour slot was taken over on those two nights by a court case and then this. Last night It continued on into the 11 pm News with same discussion again and same footage about Trump.

The main headlines were about the Liverpool trial verdict re the shooting of that young girl and they had the Liverpool Echo editor in the studio as was one of the two guest journalists to discuss the papers.

I turned the TV off around 11.10 pm and saw no discussion re British or other news or about the Liverpool headlines verdict, just the same old repetitive story re Trump.

The chap from the Liverpool Echo looked well p…..d off.
