Non - Pandemic

Like buses, while people are waiting two come along at once.

Had phone call offering me the Pfizer jab at local surgeries.

But already booked at pharmacy tomorrow.
 
Not a good milestone.

More than 100,000 people in the UK have died after catching coronavirus, as the toll of a second wave sweeping across the country continues to be felt.

The official government figures were released after the Office for National Statistics - which uses a different counting method - this morning said the number had passed 100,000.

On 11 November 2020, the UK had recorded 50,000 deaths with COVID-19.

It has taken just 76 days for that figure to double.

It begs the question where are all those people coming/going, through Heathrow? Being Heathrow it suggests to me long haul and probbly business related travel. But that's a total guess.

From 6pm there are only 6 flights arriving today, 3 from the middle east, Paris, Hong Kong and Dublin.
Tomorrow there are about 70 flights coming in. many flights from Middle East, America and Africa. How many are isolating when they arrive?
The test you take to be able to fly is not 100% reliable and anyone can catch the virus after they have taken the test.
No wonder they want to isolate people that keep on flying around the world.
In Thailand you get isolated in a hotel for two weeks and it seems to be working there.
TUI are still sending holiday makers to the Canary Islands, how is that possible?

They were 4 months behind in backing Pfizer for example but backed one of the few vaccines that haven’t actually worked out.

Due to the above both Pfizer and Oxford have had supply issues, something the UK have seemingly accepted as part of the process and yet the EU talk about contractual obligations like this is a normal business transaction.

It’s a war. Sorry, plague. The Sooner every person realises this the better. Many don’t. There’s going to be lots of squabbling and political sparring between nations. Just hope we get on top with our vax rollout, and sequence all the variants. As for those worried about microchip conspiracy, please, let me have it now.

I'm up on Friday at UCLH. Off peak train in, our Trust have opened it to all Staff. I have waited a while - but the jab has been open to frontline staff for a couple of weeks now.

On annual leave, so will have a wander down to the Thames after and along a bit. Wondering if any police will stop me and ask me where i'm going etc etc..
 
Just heard, from somebody who should know, the Dorset emergency morgue in Wimborne has just opened.


Locally the virus has ripped through the Wordsworh OP home in Swanage.

upwards of 40 confirmed cases and half the staff not in for work

Why ANY flights In or Out of this nation.. WHO is so f√cking important that they can rock up at any Airport while we are trying to stop Death from this Virus.
What the screaming f√ck is going on?
Anyone appearing at an airport car park should be poked back into their cars by police with batons and any over active resistance to that ...water cannon the buggers!
Better still grab the airport managers..oik the buggers arms up their backs...march the b@stards to the keyboards and get them to lock up the check- in desks...and then lock up the outer doors...and barb- wire the car parks and planes!
Jail any Travel agents operating their unnecessary trade during this Pandemic!
The Police and Army...to stop the Real Filth moving between nations.
Time for tough and brutally efficient action...we've passed 100,000 f√cking deaths!.
The PM has to grab this by the scruff of the neck...and stop piss- assing about spluttering out excuses and soft soaping the likes of bloody Kuennsberg and frigging Peston every Savo !
