I wonder just how enthusiastic Tobias would be if it was mooted as being built on his doorstep?
Back in the 60's 70's Boscombe was a great place to visit.
The ballrooms was a great place to go and see a band.
Nice beach, Fishermans walk was our favourite, View attachment 5974
nice hotels where you could get a pint and pick up a bit of Northern crumpet.
...from The Tiffanys days??I hope they change the curtains in the academy - they were sticky!
Depends how many photoshoots the useless Elwood can get out of it.

Preferred to go down the beach and go for the language students 80's/90's!
Agree that there are risks to BCP but there is no magic wand where places just get better on their own.I live in Poole and tbh never go to Bournemouth or Boscombe except for work and football. Very very rarely go there for shopping or socialising. Seaside towns on the whole struggle and there are many examples of those that chose the wrong route to go down. Arcades, funfairs, cheap accommodation etc. Poole to me has always been the ' working class' brother of Bournemouth and is also becoming less and less attractive as more and more councillors meddle and make poor decisions. The whole BCP council thing isn't going to do Poole any favours either. Ridiculous road plans, road closures, route changes, house building policies, increased Council tax , less service, increased crime and anti social behaviour. Probably a sign of the times but there's a reason for it. I'm going to guess the only thing that has been cut back are the pension pots.
They have done well for their age and still students.
