Just been to watch this film.
It's about Bert Trautmann and shows how he went from POW Camp to break his neck at FA Cup Final against Birmingham in 1956.
I only saw him play once, in 1962. We were on holiday in the Lake District and on the way home my dad drove into Manchester to see a game, any game, and we ended up seeing Man City v West Ham in Division 1. West Ham won 6-1 with a young lad called Jeff Hurst scoring a hat trick. After one of those goals Trautmann had an altercation with the referee. When the referee walked away from Trautmann kicked the ball up his ar*e and was promptly sent off.
