2004.
The week we lost Carl Fletcher, we played Brentford away.
This was the infamous "Stephen Hunt" match when we put the ball out to allow treatment for an injured Derek Holmes.

From the resulting throw-in, manager Martin Allen urged Stephen Hunt forward instead of giving possession back to us. Younger wasn't having that, and took him out, got sent off. This came after Hunt took a blatant dive to try and win a penalty, ref didnt give the penalty but didnt take action against Hunt.
Before all this happened, we had found ourselves 2 down before Holmes pulled one back.
We went down to 9 men before the end with Purches unable to continue after we'd used all our subs. Finished 2-1.

Someone mentioned on another OTD thread a 3-1 defeat at Colchester where we had two sent off.. the ref that day was the same as for this match, Richard Beeby.
