Another good win for them this afternoon. An 88th min winner against Bath City. They are now joint 2nd, with 5 victories, 1 draw and a first game defeat.

How are their attendances this season ?They must have picked up a few Poole based AFCB non season ticket holders

I think the average has been 450/ 500.There was 800 today

Was gonna post exactly that, Rob. Looking forward to glory hunting down there whenever the dates fall right.

Up the Dolphins.

I gloryhunted today, enjoyed it. In truth Bath missed 3 absolute sitters, but Poole did ok and u could sense they would sneak it

Especially the diving header, unbelievable miss. I've got the shot, I'll post it tomorrow. I thought Bath looked the stronger second half and thought they would get one.

Slough Town in the previous round wasn't too bad.

At Poole...'Its a long way to the station' probably fooled 'em...Rourke's drift it wasn't..lol

Ive a photo of the packed terrace opposite the main stand at poole up the loft somewhere.

I was at both those games too, small world! Ray Ames, part of a good Dorset football family took Slough apart with both skills and fight that day! Scrapping all the way down the tunnel if memory serves me correct. Back in the days where even An SAS trained person would have to man up a bit to play non league!

Happy memories. If you can make it up into the attic Red House then post it!

Here is the miss by the player in blue, the keeper was over by the left post.

I'd like to see them reach L2 and I'd be happy for their fans who volunteer there and organize everything.
But I wouldn't want them any higher than that as I want people in Poole to continue supporting us.
Maybe one day we will give them the dream draw in the FA Cup at DC and thrash them 6-1.

I used to cycle from Winton to Poole Stadium in the early sixties when Cherries were away to watch Poole Town. I remember seeing John Charles play against them when he was player manager of Hereford United.

I was at the Newport game and also saw the Watford FA Cup replay in November 1962 when there was a crowd of over 6000 in the stadium.
