So my friends dad has collected programmes since forever. Originally from Crewe, went on holidays to Bournemouth as a kid. He dug this one out which my friend sent me photos of.

Been wanting to post this for a while, but the old forum upload things never worked for whatever reason.

Wondering if anyone attended or remembers the players. I certainly do not recognise any of them being -21 years old at this point.

Yes I can remember all of the Bmth team. David Best in goal. Peter Gledstone at LB. Tom Standley, RH. Roy Gater CH, Ronnie Bolton LH. Ron Spelman, OR. Jimmy Singer IL. Billy Coxon OL.

I'm afraid I can’t remember the first names of:- McDonald, Archer or Thompson. I’m sure someone on here will fill in the gaps

Irvin Brown the CH of Poole , was previously a Bmth player. He was involved in local football right up to his death, only a few years ago.
 
Why was it known as The Grand Friendly? Did Boscombe put out a proper first team? Was it well attended?
