Potential Napoli Friendly at DC ?

Lots of reports about a match on August 6th, following Napoli's participation in the Audi cup at the Allianz Arena on 1st and 2nd August.

For example: https://www.napolisport.net/amichevoli-napoli-gli-azzurri-sfideranno-il-bournemouth/

The article talks about Napoli taking on AFCB as part of their preparation for the qualifying round of the Champions League.

BTW the three other participants in the Audi Cup to Napoli are Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool. The circles we move in these days eh?

Qualified for the champions league stages. Nice game. And I love their Neopliatan Ice Cream

I went to a pre-season friendly, six or seven years ago, at Napoli (v Regiana) with my wife and two boys.

We were intrigued to see the fire brigade waiting outside the ground before the match (and then inside on the running track). We were also somewhat surprised to see many of the seats with burn marks or almost burned out completely. However, all became clear when the players came out. Flares rained down onto the pitch and it was obviously the fire brigade's job to put the fires out quickly.

We were sat amongst the Napoli fans. They were happy to chat to us, as I think we were a novelty. Half way through the first half a chap, I had been talking to, calmly stood up and threw a full bottle of liquid down on to the pitch. He missed the liner by inches. There appeared to be no reason for him to do it. It was just sport.

THIS WAS A FRIENDLY! They are mad!

From the official Napoli site describing us as forthcoming opponents: "il Bournemouth, Club di Premier League che l’anno scorso ha chiuso il campionato al nono posto".

No reason to post this other than the pinch me now joy of translating it as: "Bournemouth, Premier League club, that finished last season in ninth place".

Is it really true nurse? Joy of joy of joy.

is de guzman finally coming to bournemouth ?

He was on loan at Chievo last year.

They have some good international players and will give us a stern test - Mertens, Strinic, Giaccherina, Reina, Hamsik, Maggio and Insigne to name a few.

Now added to the pre season schedule.
