Ryan Allsop Season Long Loan to Blackpool

Whilst this is a good move for him to get football is he ever realistically going to be our number 1 or 2? He has experience In league one with us already. Couldn't get in our championship team and we also have Ramsdale now.

Very unlikely he'll play for our first team again now. Hopefully, he'll impress at Blackpool and earn a contract there, or even a move higher up the pyramid the following season.

We need 3 keepers so unlikely Feds will want to be no.3, so will he move on so Ramsdale can then be our 3rd choice keeper.

U21 and U23 matches will keep Ramsdale reasonably match fit.

Goalkeeper is the only position where you can still recall from loan outside a transfer window.

If 2 first team keepers are injured, then a loan keeper can be recalled at 24 hours notice. That means, even if we let Feds go, its no real risk as Allsop could be recalled in the unlikely event.

An extremely decent lad, always polite and makes time to talk to all.

He did us proud for half a season in division one, but unfortunately for him, our rise up the leagues outstripped his abilities.

Good luck Rocky.

Can't imagine we've sent Allsop out on loan to sit on the bench in League One.
