Shrinkflation

We've all seen things get smaller and prices rise, but where does it stop?

The conglomerates try to squeeze margins to maintain profit to keep the shareholders happy.

McDonalds burgers are smaller, Curly Wurlies non existent, Mars Bars, packet of biscuits shrinks from 300g to 275g.......the list goes on.

Seems we are happy to pay more for less.

in the last 12 months they have dropped to 330ml.

Everytime they have changed that have had special offer prices to hide the drop and then the price has gone back up again.

Whoever makes trousers is clearly in on this too because the waist size I always used to buy is way smaller than it used to be. Oddly they seem to have left the length alone as that's not changed much. They must have felt guilty about shrinking the waists.

I think you'll find that its you getting fatter mate*

*see, dont you hate it when people take your posts literally ands not how they were intented.

I also wonder about quality of certain tinned products. Our old cat eats mostly one type of food. Has for years and there is no changing him. We have noticed cost for 2.8 oz (80 gm) pack has gone up significantly, but also the consistency of the food has changed. Are they using cheaper ingredients?
