Ward Prowse ?

Just to cheer myself up last night I took a look at the Ugly Inside ( there's always something on there to cheer a person up ) and noticed again the amount of vitriol aimed at Ward Prowse by a majority on there. He always seemed to me the pick of a very mediocre bunch for them over the past couple of seasons but really is their whipping boy at the moment. What do people on here think ? Personally I reckon he'd be a good player in a team that isn't always scrapping for points.
 
A victim of their own hype. They haven't produced much in the way of PL capable talent for several years, and he was/is probably the pick of that bunch.

So he got hyped as the next off the production line, something they pin their identity on. With this amazing set piece ability because he hit a couple of decent ones early on.

Except I gather they feel he's not hit the heights, despite being a perfectly serviceable player for a lower PL or upper Champ club in reality.

He's also a victim of his own flexibility, having never nailed down a specific position I don't think.

I would have him here. Regular with the England under age groups, Excellent dead ball specialist with corners and free kicks but he wouldn't get much game time with our preference to play Lerma and Billing in midfield.
 
i’ve often wondered whether eh could get a tune out of boufal where others managers have failed, but i doubt we’ll ever pick at the bones of that carcass
 
Nasty little man. Saw him deliberately provoke Zaha and get him sent off at St Mary's in a Palace match the other year. Then celebrate with the fans when the red card came out.

...as opposed to Lerma who got Son sent off and Smith who got Richarlison sent off then?
 
...I would take him if he wanted a move here as it would be so funny to get one over on Stains!
