Warm weather training

Mini pre season planning details from the Athletic:

Bournemouth

Those players not participating in the World Cup will get two weeks away from the training ground to reset. The players will then return to the Vitality Stadium on November 28 for two days’ training before setting off for Dubai.

Bournemouth fly out to Jalalabad, Dubai on November 30 where they will undergo a week-long training camp. The club’s plan has long been for a new manager to be appointed during this window to impart his playing style and familiarise himself with those not participating in the World Cup. The players are used to intense warm weather training having gone to the Algarve and Marbella during pre-season under Scott Parker. But with a new manager and style to get to grips with, this training camp is likely to be more physically and mentally demanding.

There will be friendly games, too: Bournemouth are set to face Royal Antwerp on December 4 in Jalalabad and also planning to have two more friendlies once they return to the UK but their opponents are yet to be confirmed.

There's a few here but the they tend to go to the Nad Al Sheba complex. Jebal Ali would be great for team building events there, lots of water sports, quadbiking and stuff like that.

Sounds nice but if they go to Jalalabad they could do their team building by flying around leftover US helicopters and possibly have a five-a-side game against the Taliban. Maybe even some Khyber Pass-ing drills.

I was wondering if they would do something like this, a bit surprised they are getting 2 weeks off though.

I too thought two weeks excessive ,but these weeks are coming out of the usual break in May onwards when the leagues stop after the first week or two in May.(play-offs excepected).

I know Mr. Dibben. Just thought 7/10 days may have been enough. Considering training stopping and starting.
7 days is never enough for a foreign break. You land, knackered, hit the bar like a good ole Brit, go to bed, then it's 6, 6 nights till going home. The next morning, you find the restaurant, hopefully have a decent brekkie, hope all the sun loungers havn't gone, meet the local bar staff, rip the ass out of it, British style...then it's 5 nights to go.
Bottom line is boristha, 7 nights is never long enough. ;)
