As we're having a bit of an Eddie Love-In this weekend, and to keep the positivity going,I thought it would be nice to list our favourite Moments from the Eddie era.

Here are mine :

1. Fletch' s winner vs Grimsby 2009
2. Marc Pugh's goal.vs Bolton 2015
3. Junior's last gasp equaliser vs Everton 2015
4. Glenn Murray's winner at Stamford Bridge 2015
5 Nathan Ake's winner vs Liverpool 2016

What are yours ?

Damn hard to whittle it down, so I’m going to cheat.

Chester/Grimsby week 2009
Burton away 2010
Promotion to the Championship at home 2013
Bolton/Charlton week 2015
Chelsea/Man Utd week 2015

Well if we can count a period of time as a 'moment' for the purposes of the question then I'd probably go for...

1. 2012 - 2020
2. 2008 - 2011
3. 1994 - 2002
4. 2004 - 2007
5. Saturday just gone.

Those are the big memories and hard to argue….

A few others really stand out for me: Dagenham away -17 season; after the game celebrating after sneaking past reading 2015; Going 4-0 up at home to leeds when we were breathtaking 13/14; callum scoring the 3rd at Southampton 2019; and then yesterday after the game was special.

Needs to be 10 best moments...

To the obvious ones already mentioned ...I would add ;

The 4-0 thrashing of Chelsea. (Brooks goal.)
The first league win v Manu.
The comeback to 4-3 v Liverpool ( the whole team..although it included matey boyturd )
Goslings winner and its VAR decision at poor old Chelsea.
The 2-2 draw at Anfield. Afobe and Kings goals.

With winning the Championship, Bolton Home, Charlton Away, and 5 seasons in the Premier League a given...

Bringing Fletch Back
Signing Pugh
Coming back from Burnley
Bringing back Pitman
Arter vs Man United

Still football related but "the man" to the fore rather than the achievement the Arter situation plus last Saturday.

A strange one to add to the list but I was one of about 50 at Chesterfield on a Friday night in February 2009 when we lost 1-0 , Alan Connell missed a penalty. My first recollection of Eddie doing the post match huddle and i remember thinking then that this was the start of something special and we were going to be ok. I think it was the following Tuesday that we won at Dagenham with Moseleys great goal

Probably not in Eddie's top 5 but one I'll always remember:

Ewood Park - September 2004
League Cup 2nd round

Premier League Blackburn Rovers v League one AFC Bournemouth
Eddie is on loan with us from Portsmouth

3-3 after extra time, penalties

6-6 on pens, both sides have missed one each, Tugay takes the 8th for Blackburn (misses) ......Eddie steps up, smashed it home, kisses the badge & we win 6-7, what a guy!

Another totally random amazing memory of Eddie as a player post injury would be when, in a game that has long since been forgotten, Howe showed his bravery diving into a challenge when a striker was about to lash the ball towards goal… did he dive in with his feet as it was centimetres off the ground?…nope… Howe gets the block in with a diving header…

The Eddie had a dream chant has always been one of my favs. I wasn't even at the game but during the livestream, and the supporters YouTube videos I got goose bumps hearing it in the 2-0 win against Southampton in 2016 - I think it was a collective relief that perhaps we could stay up - under the lights, everyone seemed to be singing it that night

Dagenham away when Mark rolled that winning late late goal in.
Burton away and clinching promotion
Bolton home and clinching promotion
Chelsea away and beating Mourinho’s Chelsea
Newcastle away and stuffing them 3-1

best moments ever as an AFCB fan: (excluding Howe’s reign)
Beating Villa 3-0 at home in 1971
Rotherham at home to seal the 3rd Division title
Beating Sheffield Utd in our first ever 2nd Division match
Shrewsbury in that great escape game
Millennium Stadium play off win

1. Beating Bolton 3-0 to effectively go up
2. 2-1 at home against Man U that first season- Junior's corner, King's choreographed goal and Harry's rabid performance.
3. That Glen Murray goal at The Bridge
4. 3-3 v. Everton- that's what you get for cavorting on the pitch Everton fans.
5. Beating Burnley with the last kick of the last game- couldn't happen at a nicer away ground.!

All subjective really!
