Rob Trent

He'll get the gag, dont worry

I wasn't referring to your post just exercising caution over my own natural instinct to take the p when people injure themselves - this time sounds particularly unpleasant though.

As someone with a wheelchair based parent the state of our roads and pavements is a constant source of annoyance - I dare say it's a damn sight more than annoying for Rob though.

From what Rob told me, it was as much his fault as anyone else's. He seemed more concerned that we get behind the lads tomorrow and next week, rather than his own predicament : )

I should have asked him which hospital he's in, then we could have requested they play Sweet Caroline at 3 o'clock tomorrow, on their Hospital radio station : )

Just had a phone call from Rob, letting me know he won't be there tomorrow or able to make the Liverpool match. Unfortunately he misjudged a kerb, drove his chair over it, only to find out it wasn't a dropped kerb. The upshot was , the wheelchair ended up on top of him and he's got a broken leg and ( I think) a broken arm.
Things must be bad in there, he's so bored he phoned me : ) He said he's hoping to be sent home tomorrow

Sh1t Rob, so sorry to hear your terrible news. I’m just relieved it sounds like it was your own fault you’ve broken something when it could easily have been mine all those years ago at Oxford!!

What a grim thing to happen. Don't listen to the first 70 minutes. I'd suggest listening to some of that awful loud music you like from 3 until about 4:30 then listen to solent for the comeback.

poor rob! what a **************** thing to happen. all the best.

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I've just sat up for the first time since it happened. Still blooming painful but I need to get better so as I don't miss too many games. I think sadly Liverpool is just to soon but I've set myself a target of the Man Utd game!

AC I think my wife would know what you mean about slavery! Hope Mrs AC recovers soon.

Thanks again, it means a lot.
