My missus and I weren’t too bothered about tonight’s game so we got tickets for our neighbour and his 9 year old son, the lad is often to be seen in our road with his AFCB top on although he had not been to DC before, mainly because no one who hasn’t supported us forever can get a ticket!
When I think back to when I was his age, it was all so easy.

Yea sounds like Lewis is having a brutal game, I wonder if the England call-up has made him overthink things.
 
Cook looked very out of sorts, several misplaced passes under no pressure. Defoe subdued.

Lerma and Rico terrific. Lerma everywhere, looks like he's been there for years.

Fraser? Fabulous.
 
People have been wondering about Cook, specifically why he hasn't been in.......wonder if EH has seen this all through training/preseason hence his lack of playing time. Frustrated I couldn't watch or listen over here on the other side of the pond.

I’m visiting family up in Glasgow at the minute and have been chatting to someone who knows the chief youth scout at Aberdeen, was saying they’re still gutted about losing him but glad to see him doing well.
 
Lerma was very good although the opposition wasn't,and that left foot of Rico looks good,and neither look like they shy away from a challenge
 
Mings looked very useful tonight and Fraser was everywhere, i expect he cut up the oranges at half time too.

Lewis Cook was nowhere near last seasons standards and Jordan Ibe...Jordan Ibe. He scored and so his awful game will be airbrushed from history.

Defoe ? What is the point ?
 
Chris H, are you saying Ibe played terribly the whole game?
Defoe too?
The AFCB commentary made it sound like Ibe did really well.
 
Ibe assisted for the 2nd and scored the 3rd not a bad nights work.

Mings organised everyone very well and strolled through the game.

Defoe off the pace.

New boys had pleasing debuts.
