The statement we’ve all been waiting for

Yeah but our missing 9% is only 900 people and those seats are either shite single seats or people just not turning up, whereas Arsenal may have ‘sold out’ of tickets but are actually missing about 5-10k fans every game.....bigger the stadium the less it’s noticed.

I posted those stats a few weeks back and got the same excuses.

"Every other club in the world doesn't report real attendance" - very little reliable evidence outside of the clubs with grounds too big for them like Man City and West Ham (and Southampton).

"Just 900 people and it looks bad, single seats a bit of flu, blah blah" - proportionally there is the same potential for single seats as in a bigger ground, the club just does a terrible job of managing seats. For sickness 90 people in 10,000 is as likely as 900 in 100,000.

Reality is the club does a dire job of managing the limited tickets available. It's only the insane demand that gets most of the tickets sold.

11,360. Football ground guide.

Last season 11,329. Premier League.

Because of the way different clubs show attendances, probably best to take them with a pinch of salt.

Ours as mentioned above is done through those through the turnstiles.

Not sure about those in executive area where they enter, not sure how they are counted.

Lots of people on this board including myself have talked about if and when we get relegated as being a reason for missing a trick regarding the stadium and training pitches. Another concern that I have is WHEN the so called big 6 leave and join a European super league. Make no mistake it will happen and when it does the tv money for the rest of us will drop through the trap door probably to the equivalent of what championship clubs are earning now. The next couple of seasons maybe our last chance to earn big bucks especially if as rumoured Amazon or Netflix are going to be bidding for the tv rights. Can't help feeling we have missed the boat.

The european super leagues been talked about regularly over the last few years, I just don't think it will happen in the next 10 years.

Earlier in the thread some have said they are happy with the stadium ' The Way It Is'. How very Shrimp Sandwich! These Happy Sandboys are probably going to disappear if Eddie leaves and we end up entertaining Wimborne Town in a local derby Dust-up in Season 2025-26. Those that stay - Get yer Pitchforks together for The Battle of Longham Bridge! No Prisoners.....
Poole Town have bigger ideas than us...ideas above their station and with a nearby mainline railway station!

Over 11k? Really? Can’t temember the last time I saw an 11 at the front of the attendance figure......certainly not this season!

I wonder if the club keeps records of the empty seats not being used.
Do STs have to scan their cards? if so they should know how many times they are being used. 900 empty seats each week is not acceptable when so many people want tickets.

Yes we do scan our ST.

There probably are a number of reasons whp people don’t turn up for a game that is sold out.

Family reason, illness, holidays, work etc.
