AFC Bournemouth v Watford

Poor old Minty....he even did the seemingly impossible and got a Lerma to get a booking prediction wrong....:D

As for Lerma...avoiding a booking in that type of game shows that he really does know what he's doing...so disciplined tonight.
Yes, but he was going for a tackle and decided to out run the guy and nick the ball back. what a player.

Phew - just got home, exhausted! What a wave of emotions. 0-2 down was a horrible feeling but to come back twice from behind was fantastic. Second half we looked the more likely. Watford dangerous but we looked the better side, finished the stronger. That save by Foster, jeez! That was the game right there. Overall feeling = hugely comforted by that, we looked back to ourselves second half. Fraser, Brooks, Stan (second half), Kingy, Lys, all looked threatening. Not seen the stats but I imagine we had more chances. Loads to build on, really really encouraging for the rest of the season after a tough few games. Well played lads. Fantastic effort.

Although we didn't win, there are many positives. Stanislas was back to his best at right back. Fantastic fight back in the first half and in the second half we looked like vintage Bournemouth, all it needed was a goal. Fraser was brilliant, Daniels was marvellous and Wilson was clinical. Gosling looked decent when you consider that he just returned and we really really dominated the last 60 minutes. On the other hand, King was selfish and sluggish as my arm flew into the air as I sighed with despair, every time he got the ball. Ibe didn't make an impact, he looks better when he starts but based on today's second half performance, there is no room. On to next week, let's shoot the seagulls out of the sky and move into the fourth round.:utc::utc::utc::utc::clap::clap: Also can I just say Foster was man of the match, what a performance.

Just got back. Well not only did Ake play he also scored, plus we had another player back from injury in Gosling.

What a cracking first half for the fans, things settled more in the second half.

Just heard Eddie on the radio on the way back mentioning Decoure should have had a straight red.

He gave special mention to Junior Stanislas for his performance as a right wing back.

Something about playing Watford, the games nearly always end as draws.

So maybe our luck might have just changed into the New Year with injuries.

Really enjoyed the game tonight, especially that first half.

Just seen the stats, 25 shots for AFCB with 12 on target.

Watford 11 shots 3 on target.

I cannot believe people going on about ' dirty Watford'.....absolute Rubbish! You get kicked....

SO..........you F##king Hack the F#ck Back!!!!

IF....you don't learn the Law of the Jungle the Lions will eat you;

and the The Hornets will Sting you!

Watford wanted revenge!.....how many more times !!!!

Bragging rights came out at 7-3 on aggregate ffs!

Brilliant comeback, should of won it,they are one dirty team. The only thing I'd say on the downside is,though Josh King worked his socks off,he needs to pass more than try the trickery as he seems to lose it more often than not,and they countered a couple of times because of it

Based only on what I saw on a stream for the second half - and seeing the goals after the game:
Well done to Stan, started a little shaky [ see first goal for this ] but grew into the position and put a shift in. I always think any intelligent player can fill in anywhere and maybe he showed this to be true.
Foster made eight direct saves, aside from the goals, not sure Begovic had much else to do? [ by the way, the save Foster made from Gosling before Ake scored.....fantastic! ]
As Rodmorg says, we are nowhere near a relegation team with what we have going forward. I do really hope Eddie is on the case for bringing a player or two in to help defence though.
Jeff worked hard, did well to get the ball, then gave it away too easily!
From what I saw, Charlie did well, fair play to him.
I could go on but....every player worked their nuts off for the team tonight, that is all we ever ask. Lots of quality, some less than great defending in the first half by both sides. Brooks did the 93 minutes! And even though Watford could have had more than one sent off, at the end of it all, that's a great game of football!
Yes, Stan definitely grew into the game and worked his socks off. Lerma was phenomenal. King tireless. Brooks a prodigious talent. They left it all out there tonight.

I think Watford only had 3 shots on target-all goals. How on earth did we not get at least 4 from over 20 shots? Nonetheless, a great result from being 2-0 and 3-2 down. Proud of their efforts.
