That was embarrassing and this Australian team aren’t one of their greatest.

Basically playing with 3 bowlers with Jimmy injured and Moeen absolutely shot of confidence with the bat and ball. Unfortunately could see this coming a mile off however and we’re going to be in for a long summer

We have about 2 batsmen playing also at the minute. Unless sometime chances quickly, this is going to be the state of English test cricket for the next few years

Hopefully it will be like last time where we traded massive victories at the start of the series. Having a full bowling attack should help. Hopefully Joff has something up his sleeve to sort Smith out too.
 
Heres the rub...as mentioned..not the greatest Aussie side ever...No. but they want to be..aim to be...and they think they are part way there....with their mentality , that counts for a great deal....unlike us, where we climb one mountain and think thats it....we scale the f#cking lot automatically!
 
Looks like we put all our eggs in the World Cup basket.
None of the white ball squad had their red ball heads on.
Most of those who came in for the tests are just not good enough.
Frustrating thing is that, apart from Smith, the Aussies ain’t a lot of cop.
 
Not sure the World Cup is to be blame. We’ve been pretty ordinary at Test Cricket for sometime now. We’ve usually been able to blag it at home Tests but away from home we’ve been dreadful. As soon as we faced anyone half decent at home, it’s no surprise the cracks have appeared.
 
This will be a 3 day Test. tomorrows weather forecast is rain almost all day. Might hang on for a draw. we are always crap at Lords.

Jason Roy tried to get out to his first 2 balls before actually edging the 3rd.
Surely someone has pointed out to him that 1day games and test matches are different. It obviously hasn’t registered.
