Non - General Election

Yes those demonstrate that any currency will do.

I'm actually convinced that you're winding me up and that I've completely fallen for it. Fair play.

Just in case you're not. It doesn't matter what the currency is, it matters that it is different. If it wasn't monetary policy would be set by the European Central Bank rather than the Bank of England. This is important because it can be tailored to respond to economic shocks that affect the UK differently to Europe - like when the BofE responded to the brexit vote by increasing the money supply.

You can intellectualise the damn thing as much as you like...money/ wealth distribution, currency types , left, right, okey cokey...shake it all about.....
but the people with any power to effect a solution are simply.....self- brainwashed about the concept of 'Party' .....and self- interest.......they actually think also; that they are Celebrities...they really do...!
This is where we are unfortunately...the modern media communication beast facilitates this phenomenon...can you Not f#cking see it!
The Press and TV ....in your faces...they dont..' Report ' anymore....they Probe and Wind...and Suck( as in physics) .any.... ANY story will do ...f#ck the truth!

This is all very ' pending.' ..this Brexit...this funny little 3 year bureaucratic fiasco about...basically ...bureaucracy...what fun!

When its concluded...we enter another period of negotiation...the most likely one of Renewing Vows( revoked A50)..or ...of establishing bureaucracy with a new overseas bureaucratic body...cant wait!

So the failure of the government economic policy is down to having an independent currency?

:slap: Jesus. You've brought the government into it - it's completely irrelevant to the matter of what our currency is and why it matters. I'm just explaining to you what a currency is because you clearly missed the point when you asked if it matters what we call our currency. No it doesn't but it matters that it's different to other currencies irrespective of what the government does with fiscal policy. Changing the subject won't make your posts any less ironic for someone who's been accusing others of being stupid.

You've posted this crap loads of times without ever explaining yourself.

"Topple out nation's way of life" where are you getting this b*llocks from?

Strangely enough I’ve just read the EU have created a new raft of bureaucrats .One new one that’s getting a lot of attention is a Greek fella by the name of Margaritis Schinas his new brief is ..get this “ protecting our European way of life “...must have been reading vitals :throw:
Can only imagine the outrage on here if Trump or Johnson came out with a gem like that .

Here we are....rests now on Johnsons next moves...I imagine he will take himself ' to work'...while the others are on the beach...then we will see ; its mainly the fault of those on the beach...that they are on it.....they, collectively, had the chance to back a previous PM..'.Their Representative' of 'Their Nation' .with a reasonably sane plan which could of been fine- tuned nearer the deadline with a bit of 'nous' by her and the EU.
But no ....they have presented Johnson with this scenario.....

Hahahaha, Corbyn's little magic money tree.
The proposed nationalisation of rail, water, mail and electricity distribution companies, will result in huge government borrowing to fund public investment. Who's going to pay for all this do you think? The costs involved will dwarf HS2

Why would it, really easy way to change it to prevent companies in those sectors from paying a dividend if they received a government subsidy. We can't have public money going directly into private purses, that's very naughty. In fact if those govt subsidies actually became like shares, and that investment year on year devalued the existing shares due to dilution of ownership, I think that the initial outlay to take these firms back would be very small, and the companies running them would be eager to get back to running as not for profits

edit: oops, realised this might be a very old post I've quoted, I didn't check which page it opened the thread at

For examples of this, just see how austerity was forced upon Greece, and Italy, yet waived during periods of overspend in France and Germany towards the start of the decade

What is so difficult about....Get Things Done!

I know that phrase is used extensively ...in Leadership lectures ...RN from experience......Army and RAF too ..I feel certain....It works well!

But Johnson was one of those who didn't back the previous PM - one of the "ringleaders", so to speak!

Oh yeah...he is that for sure..
..but NOW he is the unwanted prize picked up at the end of the raffle and we have to wait/ endure his tenure of whatever this fiasco is.....other Tories are even more clueless....Labour missing tricks with glorious abandon! ..???

I would be happy enough with Remain, as im sure thats where its heading....if. .IF I could be sure that any subsequent MEPs that attend the EU assembly were hand- picked, cross-party whatever, adept negotiators - able to fight for our Welfare within ..and also able to connect with and extract all information and directives from the Strasbourg Division ...with Clarity as the prime requisite......for Our people!
....
No More MEPs of the Farage Genre....!
Thats the default line!
I feel sure many Leavers would identify with that......there were a lot on the fence both sides......potential compromisers...now begging for just that!
COMPROMISE!
