Non - Brexit

Todays BBC home page carrying on their project fear, their relentless and people say their objective and non-biased.

10 ways No Deal Brexit COULD affect you.

No 1 Groceries

Just checked our Fridge all meat & Fish from GB
Potatoes , all veg GB
Banana's from Equador
Braeburn apples from New Zealand

Nothing from the EU what so ever and that was without even trying.

Absolute tosh that we would face a food crisis.
Slightly less choice worse case scenario.

Saying the poor will be worse effected well Bread , Eggs, Meat, Potatoes & Veg is unaffected there's your staples.

and for the lazier cook types i'm sure your birds eye and other brands of chopped and shaped nugget type things will be unaffected as will your frozen chips and pizza.

I think people need to realise just how large our poultry, dairy, & pig farming industry is, only 2 years ago the guardian was complaining that we have nearly 800 livestock mega farms in the UK.

There are 10,000 official pig farms in the UK and 30,000 premises with pigs on (including pets)

Yet a well known highstreet bakery claims their stockpiling pork in case of no deal brexit, the reason for that , they import from the Netherlands, well simple answer to that , source your pork from here.

Let me make it easier for you...

1. The contents of your shopping basket may change

True

2. Electricity and gas prices may go up

True

3. You will need to take extra measures when travelling to Europe

True

4. You may need to check medication is available and it may be more expensive

True

5. UK nationals living abroad may have to take extra measures

True

6. EU citizens need to apply for 'settled status'

True

7. Importing goods from the EU may get more expensive

True

8. House prices could be affected

True

9. Some ports and motorways could see extra delays

Very true! :)

10. UK students studying in the EU and EU students studying in the UK face a period of uncertainty

Not sure myself on this one.

But here is the thing. surely thats not project fear its planning? I would like to think that if I was an ardent leaver I would be doing all I can to get the info above out there to make this be the success I would hope it to be. Whats the issue with explaining what happens?

11. You will not have to join the EU ARMY;)

Its so funny how you all keep repeating the same point even though I know most would support a NATO like arrangement with the rest of europe just as you support NATO. But you pretend its terrible just so you have a tiny thing to cling onto :)

The top 2 are the ones most affecting the average person and they are both based on could happen, I pointed out above exactly how point 1 is avoidable and will cause little disruption if any.

The Medicine argument , there have been shortages and production problems of many drugs for years and nothing to do with Brexit.

"May" and "Could" are words i'm not interested in , it's all designed to create panic and generate fear for the remainer biased MSM.

As a result of more cars on the road today I MAY have more chance of being run over when crossing a road.

The delicious irony :clap::clap:

I think the key point is "Forced", while the MoD has made a statement to that effect, it doesn't go as far as saying it couldn't happen voluntarily. If agreed by the Government at the time in the future.

Both Merkel & Macron are in favour of a EU Army so while there about better to be safe than sorry.

Moving on a bit, are we any closer to a deal this morning, seems to be a bit of optimism around. The no deal scenarios do seem to me to be focusing a few minds.

Wallmth...

Do you think that 16 year olds will be conscripted to a european army?

Do you think that the Lisbon treaty will come into effect in 2020 and remove our veto?

Not sure why your asking me these questions is it something to do with your O’brien links , sorry I didn’t open them but I’m guessing its his usual modus operandi of beating up on callers who ain’t the brightest or best informed .
I do know there was a bunch of social media stuff going around about the Lisbon treaty that was utter rubbish but so what I’ve never claimed there wasn’t BS coming from both sides and whatever claims about EU armies or vetos or whatever it certainly can’t be any worse than the disgusting threats of people dying in the streets because of medicines shortages or starvation that you like to pass off as fact .

Do you think it's a good idea to have military decisions inextricably linked to economic policy? If we're not happy with NATO decisions we pull out or threaten to reduce funding like Big Don does. Apparently we can pull out of the EU whenever we want because we never lost an iota of sovereignty

Yeah hard to comment on without any detail, but they all seem to be making slightly brighter noises.
Whether it amounts to anything, and whether that anything is of any use, $deity knows.

Think of No Deal like Hard Reset or Restore Factory Settings.

You get a nice clean computer, with more space & faster running, Just reinstall the programs you want, be far more selective, no annoying popups, viruses or malware.

We've tried to run malware programs for years within the EU , but still that odd one keeps popping up that introduces 100's more.

So time for a Factory Reset.

Another dreadful brexit analogy.

You were saying further up the page it was all made up now its a NATO like arrangement. Come on druss make your mind up, you've gone all scatter gun on us...

To paraphrase Druss ... “ it’s all lie ,lies, lies .. but if it was to happen it would kinda like NATO “
