Brighton - The verdict

Not going to be negative, but going to stay grounded at the same time.

Poor first 30, Brighton score and it's a different game, probably over. Rambo kept us in it too.

Need to build on this - hopefully the extreme shift in the game when we started playing more as we used to is the spark we needed.
That first goal was so important, I agree if they’d scored first ......
Brighton still found the spaces between our lines and passed it through ustoo easily at times again - but our effort and desire finally saw us through ....
Bring on the Villa !

It was all about the work rate. For the first time in God knows how long we made it difficult for an opposition team, pressed them high up the pitch and didn’t give them time on the ball. We need to show this application for the remainder of the season to give us a fighting chance. Solanke was key today, the amount of work he put in chasing the opposition was phenomenal. I can’t remember the last time we pressed a team high and consistently won the ball in their half. Need more of the same.

Only positive was the 3 points, I don't think much else has changed.
They controlled the game as the stats show 66%, 8 shots on goal to our 3
21 goal attempts to our 11.
We really need to change the way we play.

Seriously?
Fraser arguably had his best game all season same goes for Solanke. Wilson chased and closed down everything. Brighton’s best and only spells were In the first 20 minutes.
Even your mate Billing put in a decent shift.

One swallow does not a summer make ! A pretty awful first half hour Rambo keeps us in the game then we score two in quick succession a massive sense of relief came over the team and the support and completely knocked the stuffing out of seaweed ....but we MUST follow this up with a result against Villa . We are still deep in it but the players have shown they can be up for it and the fans have shown they’re right behind them . Again though we MUST kick on against Villa .

Best game in a while. Quality I thought was dire but amazing was some sprinting and big tackles can do! Wee Man and Callum were chasing everything and as your best players, it looked like it gave everyone else another 10%!

First half an hour I thought was awful and we need to find a way to get Lewis Cook in this team or play Harry Wilson through the middle as a number 10 since he is not a winger

It was very strange how a goal transformed a team. We went from looking like we had a player short to looking pacy and energetic.

Im going to not be frustrated about how many players played to their full potential and why they can’t do it more often as it won’t achieve anything!!

Also having watched the game on a tiny screen with intermittent service as Top Farrier does I can see why he likes 4-4-2 as it works well when you squint!;)

Not sure what you are referring to, but I couldn't believe we were 2/1 just to beat BHA at home. A nice £50 as well as 3 points - lovely jubbly.

Hope we can all spare a thought for all those “fans “ that lost money betting against AFCB tonight .

Unlike against you we sat back and invited pressure making defensive changes.

Killer to lose to the last kick of the game and now Mings has admitted he should have been sent off.

Ofcouse our forum is now all doom and gloom saying Pearson got it wrong and the team is rubbish.

Football eh ?

Can’t believe Mings stayed on after that handball
