Joshua King

On the plus side, if we've given Brooks number 7 it would appear as though he himself is happy enough to stay here. That's good news. If we sell him it will be because the club can't say no, not because Brooks is pushing for a move. Nice to see.
brooks seems happy here

Agree, there seems to be a myth that King is a lethal number 9, it just isn’t the case. He had one purple patch playing in this position (rotating with Afobe in the number 10 role also.) He has pace and power which make him a nightmare to play against, but aside from that one purple patch his end product in the PL has never been anything other than decent. Not terrible by any stretch, but certainly not enough to get a top 4 move. His best position is out wide where he can utilise his pace and power best by running directly at the opposition, but he doesn’t like playing this position so.......
His purple patch was much better and a lot longer than Josh Mcquid's.

He only plays up when he's kicked to death and the refs do nothing most of the time he gets up smiles at the mug who has fouled him and gets on with it. Like he did when that idiot ran on the pitch and hit him, he laughed at him went up the other end and hit the winner.
He's the most naturally gifted player in the England squad by a long way. Drifts past players like they aren't there but he's not in that little clique.
I noticed the other England players didn't give him the ball a few times in the time he was on. Southgate sees him as a striker when he isn't he's a midfielder. Southgate ignores a direct question about him after the game and started talking about Mason Mount instead who hardly touched the ball.
Southgate played 7 defenders against Denmark and leave a player on the bench who given even 30 mins would have taken them apart on his own.
I know I'm biased very biased but Jack is that good and so proud to play for England unlike some.
Southgate has used every excuse he can think of for not picking him

Can't say I disagree with you. It's very odd.

Get him off the books he clearly doesn’t want to play for us , he’s becoming a distraction we don’t need.
Since he’s not even in the country I don’t see how he can be a distraction in the slightest.

As a club we should be doing whatever we can to get top price for him. Accepting the first bid because fans are fed up with the speculation isn’t even a consideration.

Has anyone actually bid?

really odd spurs are linked again but don’t seem to match credible bids. Becoming more like West Ham every transfer window.

Can’t see why Spurs haven’t put in a bid. They need a reliable, PL experienced backup for Kane. He’s out of contract so would be available “on the cheap”. Can play across the front 3. Why not lol

Because Levy has a pretty standard tactic of waiting as long as he can to see how much pressure he can put on a club to knock money off the asking price. If he goes to Spurs it'll be a low fee. Fulham or Villa would both pay more.

King’s ideal for Spurs because he is very decent back up for Kane, something they’ve always lacked plus his versatility means he could play along side him in certain matches too

He’d have to accept starting a lot of games on the bench or out wide but it’d be the same at any club he joined at that level

Unless you happen to be Lyon who convinced Levy to pay £70m on a dud

If others clubs are interested, then maybe Levy’s waiting game will catch him out.

Only problem is if King does a Wilson and wants to go to a certain club, which could be Spurs.

Be better if Spurs were up against Man U bidding for the player.

We shouldn't be, he's effectively on strike now. I'd be telling him to be back in training asap or his wages won't be paid.

Are you 100% it's coming from him and not the club? The club know they want to sell him before the window closes because he only has 10 months left on his contract and so may not want to risk him picking up an injury in training or at a match in that time. It would be pretty stupid to kiss £15-20 million goodbye if Arter put the the reducer on him in training, a la Kelly.

We know he wants to move. We don't know who has decided to keep him from being involved.
