Do we need one?
Not if 3 or 4 chip in with 10
Do we need one?
Can see this team with at least four players scoring more than ten.Not if 3 or 4 chip in with 10
Is there a lack of effort though?
The point was very clearly made on the Wednesday verdict thread that the team and JT had to respond today after such a dreadful showing. JT said it too and commendably put himself on the line somewhat.
Well we did and it was obvious. The spirit, fight and quality were excellent. It doesn't mean we're all sorted, it doesn't mean we'll get promoted and it doesn't mean that Jason Tindall is the new messiah, but at least we don't have to see all the anti-Tindall rhetoric again until the next time we lose.
And better for it. Biggest plus the absence of Billing, who was dismal in the previous games. Against Brum the ball moved through midfield rather than halting at Billing’s feet. Yesterday there was urgency and quick delivery - more please. No Billing , King and Smith in the team ....
Billing and King I get (King to a lesser extent) but Smithy? Genuine question... do you mean playing him on the wrong side? If so I agree, surely we’re not questioning his commitment? No Billing , King and Smith in the team ....
He's so good I think it's only a matter of time until he starts bagging braces.I thought he was very good . As you say just can’t score .
I have a feeling they will change
See ChampagneCherry’s comment below about Smith re my thoughts .Billing and King I get (King to a lesser extent) but Smithy? Genuine question... do you mean playing him on the wrong side? If so I agree, surely we’re not questioning his commitment?
Its such a shame that as with the Coventry performance / result, we lose all momentum and good feeling we gained yesterday because of yet another bloody international break. We'll get back a jet lagged Jeff who'll need easing in for a few games, and no doubt Wales will break Mepham and Brooks again.
Hopefully the staff can sit down and reflect on yesterday for the next couple weeks and ink that formation into the tactics board.

Its clear our best team has to have at least
Bego
Stacey, Steve C, Kelly
Lewis C, lerma, brooks
Solanke, Danjuma
Maybe only 2 places up for grabs, Smith or Rico left back, king or junior up front/wide
Just hope JT doesn't try to keep mepham in the team when cook is back.
