You have one choice who do you want?

John Terry but I worry about his giant ego. Would he alienate some of the players who also seem to have large egos?

Still going with Terry . The guys a winner , and ego’s are good , most successful people have them . His ego would demand he succeeds as a manager .... Just please no one that has played for AFCB .

Anyone who doesn’t take any crepe from some of our overinflated players egos! They either give there all or they don’t get paid - do they want promotion or not? An **************** kicker for me please :guns:

I have no issues with the ex-player route but I appreciate we have very little history of outside appointments and, without making them, it’s impossible to say whether always recruiting from within is a strength or a weakness.

So, this time around.. I’ll go with the majority vote which seems to be an outside person.

But ... with my AFCB blinkers on...(and ignoring all the logical calls for a fresh start)... it can’t be Eddie, it’s Franno for me. Intelligent, articulate, already involved in coaching. Former captain, leader, passionate about the club... Plus he’ll have the hunger and the drive.

Nice idea but BIG risk I think . Back in the day he was always winning players player awards and was very popular , think he might be another one that would be too matey .

Would've been better as an open ended poll.

Always Eddie for me.

In recent years with the classless board insulting fan and player alike he was the anchor to the community club with the gritty determination to survive, then thrive and look good doing it.

If it wasn't for the fact it looked like he was close to a breakdown after the last time I'd back him even after back to back relegations.

Same board, same players, less money; he would have to be clinically insane to return now.

Serious suggestion this time: Darren Moore.

Did well as caretaker at West Brom and was unlucky he didn't manage to save them from relegation. Then had them 4th in the table the next season when they sacked him.

Took over at Doncaster and now has them third in the L1 table but with games in hand that could take them clear.

He's young for a manager and likes to play attacking and expressive football (from a little reading around, I haven't seen them play).

Plus, stealing Doncaster's manager would feel like some very, very cold served revenge.

Off the top of my head the last manager appointed who had no connection with the club, was Don Megson, he was an absolute disaster...just saying...
I stand to be corrected on that
