Scott Parker

Anyone have an update? As a Fulham fan I just can't wait for this to be over. Got to say neither club is helping the other out with this delay, if Parker and Bournemouth want this move then all parties should meet in the middle with any money issues and move on! Then everyone's happy (I think)

I consider that highly unlikely, knowing this forum's members !
;)
But yes, get your point. Both clubs need to get a deal done or move on asap.
Expecting an announcement by the end of this week, gives the new manager a week to settle in before preparations for next season begin in earnest.

yes, both clubs no doubt acutely aware of the situation and will meet somewhere in the middle by end of this week I expect.

both clubs reasonably wealthy for this level and will get to a point where squabbling over 500k-1 million will become more detrimental for each week we both lose not having a new manager in place for the close season.

They have met in the middle. Compensation is in its final stages. The final fee is between 3 and 3.5 million. Just a final few points to sort but will be done this week 100%

If there is an announcement soon, does that mean our board have beaten Everton, Crystal Palace, Spurs and West Brom to appoint a new manager? ;)

Maybe afcb see it as Fulham want a new manager so why compensate you. Just get on with it so Parker is free. Question is whether Fulham actually want Parker to stay of course.

Wouldn't surprise me if we hear that Parker has left Fulham by mutual consent one day, and then both AFCB and Fulham make their new manager announcements the next day. When exactly that will happen god knows.

The issue I have with this is that we've been hearing for almost 2/3 weeks now that "the deal is almost done and we're in final stages of sorting comp out"... and "should hear by the end of the week".

I appreciate that there could be things that are more complexed than the black and white we see from afar... but c'mon... This has been almost more drawn out than 'Eddie to Celtic'... I just hope the end result isn't the same...

We may or may not get pipped at the post.

West Brom are closing in on Barnsley boss Valerien Ismael as their new manager after meeting a compensation clause in his contract.

The move allows the Baggies to speak with Ismael, 45, about their vacancy.
And the expectation from all parties now is that the Frenchman will be named successor to Sam Allardyce at The Hawthorns, possibly by Wednesday.

6 1/2 months...When groves was here.

We were truly without a manager after the post-SOD caretakership of Roach and Murdoch came to end on 13th October 2006. That lasted until 2nd September 2008 when Jimmy Quinn was appointed. So, it went from worse to worst.

However, every cloud has a silver lining as we know what happened after Quinn.

Camus said (free translation), 'life is the result of all your previous mistakes.'

The issue with that is then Fulham have to pay Parker off, they don’t want to do that if Bournemouth want him and will pay
