Parky criticism

Surridge can be an asset at this level, but I don’t really see how he ever fits into the way Parker wants to play. We replaced Gosling with Pearson who is easily a better player, regardless of what division Gosling plays in.

Its All slightly subjective now...and as far as I know we haven't, regrettably, put any offers in to re-sign either of them before the next deadline.
That being that I'll have to rely on the sterling, ubiquitous and incredibly 'loyal' efforts that Danjuma and Co will almost certainly put in for their Boscombe Fans ! :wack:

We will selectively forget one of the only shots we had on target bar the two goals then shall we....
If you're referring to his near post shot from the angle in the second half then quite frankly that was the wrong decision from Solanke. Although struck fairly well it was a poor decision.

Nothing wrong with how we played last night although it at moments it was a bit nerve wracking to watch! If only we'd had Callum upfront for those tactics though. His body strength and pace would've have caused them no ends of problems. Unfortunately we have Dom who , imo, did the square root of FA last night. Non existent, bottled aerial challenges and as a senior pro offered little in leadership to the nippers.
Hopefully the striker problem will be addressed before the end of august

I bet you hated Fletch as well.........................

I'm not surprised, seeing as you selectively omit things he did well.
I remember some decent runs in deep positions. He didn’t win a header, create a shooting chance for himself, needed two touches when one would have allowed the perfect pass and was second to most balls up front. What did you see?

I'm sure he won a header or two, made some good runs, played his part in a good team effort.

Oh and I saw the opportunity to scapegoat him after just the one game too.

Will ask again. How many attackers had more direct goal involvements in the league last season?

Obviously I must have been in a parallel universe last niight

Don’t bother

If Dom scored 25, Neil would be straight in saying he should have scored 45
I wouldn’t. I just judge people on their performance, less worried about stats which can be misleading. I don’t think he is worth 20m and I think we could do better with someone else and Dom coming off the bench. He has some great games and great interventions, I’m not blind to that. Just not enough. Hopefully a new manager will get more consistency out of him.

You scapegoat someone if you blame them for a poor performance or a loss. We had a great performance and a decent result which he was part of but not as much as others. You can shove all the distorting hyperbole in you want but that’s my view

My main criticisms of him are, for someone so proud of being born in Barnsley he spent probably 80% of his life avoiding it : )

Towards the end of his career, he just allowed his guest to plug their, book, film, show, programme, whatever : )

His theme tune was also the first earworm : )

On the plus side, his interviews with Muhammed Ali, Billy Connelly Bette Midler, etc, were very entertaining : )
And on Christmas day, you knew when his show came on the telly, you were pissed and it was time to go to bed : )

I really don't see the merit in continually mentioning his price tag, it's just a bit lazy

the £20m (if indeed that's really what we ended up paying) is only a reflection of the planet's richest tv deal and nothing to do with a player's worth
didn't that useless chelsea keeper cost £70m?

yes, at times he frustrates me but I find your hatred rather perplexing

It’s not hatred? What a strange expression. The lad has obviously got talent but he is way too sporadic in showing it. He should be throwing himself at crosses and really grabbing the game and making it happen. He rarely does this against the better championship teams and if we are serious about promotion we need a striker that can rival his ability to start up front.
