Just to remind you, Mitrovic got a 5 year contract and scored 26 goals in 40 games under Parker in Fulham’s promotion season - I’d say he rated him until the premier league came round again.

Tbf you do need pace upfront in the PL so I wouldn't blame Parker for trying something different. ... .interesting that Mitro has already beaten his Championship total under Parker though....has he improved that much?

This is the point. Many strikers who may have flourished at lower levels do not necessarily make the grade higher up. Goalscorers have a natural level where they do well.

Comes down more to their potential I think, ceiling of their ability, which applies to all players I think.

Also depends how manager likes to play to an extent too. If manager adapts a a certain style, may not get the best out of sometimes, they move elsewhere and players form van change.

May have also been a falling out/personality clash between mitrovic/Parker for whatever the reason.
 
There have been numerous strikers over the years who have been prolific in the championship but out of their depth in the Prem, to include Mitrovic in this category is absurd and not at all based on reality. He scored 11 goals in the Prem during the 19/20 season in an awful Fulham side (bear in mind Wilson’s best return ever is 14,) he got 9 for Newcastle one season too despite only ever really being an option from the bench for them. He has 8 goals in 8 euro qualifying games and his last World Cup qualifying campaign saw him get 10 in 10. He clearly is above this level, it’s an insult to mention him in the same breath as the likes of Grabban.

Different player under Silva. We now play to his strengths, something Parker never did. I mean Ivan Cavaleiro starting up top ahead of Mitrovic! Don't forget when we were relegated 2 years previously under Jokanovic & Ranieri, Mitro scored 11 in 37 in a relegated side.

Yes he went off the boil in the second half of the season I recall. He's a player who probably needs lots of delivery, so if a top 6 PL team go for him, he might well get lots of goals but as a bottom half of the table striker, probably not.
 
Well West Brom are in absolute free fall. Blackburn are on a very poor run.
