Non - Pandemic

Plymouth Hospital is as I say....or I wouldn't have said something like that...we are there about once very 2 months for my wife's lymphoma check ups.. its manic in the central corridor and reception areas with beds being wheeled around and staff dashing about , worse than I've ever known it....the A&E department is frequently on the local news regarding the queues - several have died without even getting seen....and my neice has told me Poole is the same....she is a cleaner there.
Its not something you would make up knowing it would strike fear surely.
My wife is virtually clear now...hope you are both holding up OK.
Plymouth Hospital serves a large area of Devon plus half of Cornwall.
As I say can only speak as I find....I am referring to Dorchester and to some extent Poole

I barely trust this Government on anything, so I don't think that finding agreement necessarily counts as brainwashing. The same could have been said about those who voted for Brexit if thats the way we look at things.

I don't get these people who still cling onto the idea that these lockdowns were some sort of ploy by the government to control people for the sake of it. As if Boris Johnson wouldn't have gone for the reckless crowd-pleasing approach if he could have possibly got away with it. If even he is locking people down you know it must be bad. The fact he ignored his own rules is completely unsurprising but isn't the smoking gun that restrictions weren't necessary that these people seem to think it is.

Again I can only speak as I find....but had to call an ambulance for the other half, and it was there in 20 mins....being the age I am we have contact with various friends and colleagues who have various appointments in various hospitals in Dorset, and all speak highly of the NHS......now Doctors surgery is another matter :(

I think it was more about incompetence than control . Personally I would have liked to have seen more focused protection for the vulnerable and less college kids getting 10,000 quid fines

Well you're pushing an open door with criticism of the incompetence and contempt they treated us all with.

Amazing really isn’t it. She’s got at least half a dozen replies pointing out how she’s wrong, namely the peak of infection prevalence being 3 weeks prior to the holidays starting…
Exactly, and aren't the schools still on holiday now. When does she think the holidays started ? Thick as

I read the Elizabeth line cost £19 million, but we won’t bother about a few pence difference. :grinning:

My son went on it yesterday from Moorgate to Woolwich and said it was a fast and very smooth journey.
£19 million is more than a few pence difference to £18.8 billion!
You probably wouldn't even buy the trains for £19 million.
