Brerton Diaz

He was excellent at DC, carrying the ball upfront and on the wing. Was a key reason Blackburn won. I was impressed.
Agree, he seemed to lose all his form after his injury around xmas time - the main reason Blackburns promotion bid slumped. No idea if he has got it back this season.

Gotta say that two things caught my eye ............

> he's a pretty big boy, and seemed to enjoy using his size to advantage
> he seemed to be constantly whining about something. Some of which looked to be directed to teammates.

Not sure about the fit with AFCB and he did lose form which, who knows if it will come back?

Time for just a bit of panic at DC?? Miss out on BBD …then who? We urgently need a forward - as was clear in the Arsenal game. We’re massively reliant on Solanke and need a recruit pronto. If BBD goes to Everton we‘re looking at a just few days to find a quality player. (Unfortunately one good showing at Norwich does not mean Saydee’s the answer.)

I think like most successful Championship strikers he's a gamble in the PL. We only have to look at what may be happening with Dembele and Lowe at our club.
He may have been a good fit for Blackburn and with goalscorers confidence is key. Forest weren't exactly pulling up trees ( see what I did there ? ) when they let him go to Blackburn. Armstrong is another guy that springs to mind ironically left Blackburn and doesn't seem to be able to get his game going in the PL.

Yeah because I expect our recruitment/scouting team are putting all their eggs into one basket with this Diaz bloke & not looking at any other players across Europe.

It beggars belief some of the stuff I read on this forum.

He was very impressive. Noticeable how often he made a run but didn’t get the ball. Clearly unfit in return game.

Strikers must look at Dom and Moore combined with Parker’s usual set up and conclude they would want more guarantees about starting. Everton would seem a good fit imho

There is a very simple answer to that......I'll let you figure it out....;)
