Scott Parker

Any manager who needs to buy more players to resolve and lift the spirit of the team is not the correct appointment.
Agreed but any manager who can keep a team up with Mepham and Senessi as their centre backs should probably be managing the worlds greatest teams if they are that good. We need signings.

I am shocked it's happened so soon, but it has felt inevitable. Whatever people think of SP or the board, the fact its, SP's comments have been basically telling the players he doesn't think they are good enough. It was his job to give them belief and he hasn't been doing that.

Also I know we all have out own opinions on who should be playing and where etc, but on Saturday, playing Anthony on the right and then playing Dom wide left when he came on. Just a couple of examples, but play players to their strengths at least.

I do too. And hopefully his next move is on the people that appointed him and waited for him appointing Tindall and Woodgate in the meantime

You don't like them? You should have said. Judging by the statement I suspect Max likes the fact they've put the club in a position where it can be run more sustainably. Personally I couldn't care less if they get sacked or not, pleased about Parker though.

Please please, just anyone who has managed at this level for at least a few seasons.

Even if it is Dyche.

Not another, he has potential, might be able to do it appointment.

It is worth the board reflecting on whether the year they waited to get Parker after first sounding him out, giving Tindall and Woodgate a spin in the meantime, was time well spent.

Ultimately they targeted him as the man to get the club promoted again and he did it, so that's a big tick. But a years wait for just over one year of service doesn't seem efficient.

Shouldn’t underestimate how hard it is to get promotion back to the prem. Norwich and Watford did it by keeping most of the squad in tact but we released ten players.

Thus Parker was a very good appointment for us. Was he the right man for us in the prem? Hard to tell but he is right the squad is weak and it is a tough ask whoever is in charge

Easier to get a better manager in the prem now than this time last year
