Scott Parker

I have sympathy for him as he is not wrong in his comments and getting us up was a brilliant achievement. Not the shoo-in that some think it was.

However you can’t have a manager run down his own team after every match and criticise board strategy. Something had to change.

I am excited by cooper Tommy and O’Neill tbh

I was really excited when we appointed Parker, but even last season our play was dull at times and not as good as it should have been. He didn't always thank the away fans. Signs that his attitude wasn't right. This season the things he's said have been unbelievable. There was no way he was going to bring the best out of our players. I'd imagine they are generally very relieved that he's gone.

Good. Threw everyone under the bus and seemed to think his shite didn’t stink.
If we’re honest, we would have to really go some to get someone in that would play worse football than the 5 at the back, Moore on his own, and everyone else playing as DM.
This squad can compete. Of course we want a few more in, but the defeatism was really boring and embarrassing.
We’re playing in the best league in the world, hopefully we can attract an exciting new manager

There were good arguments for him to stay and good arguments for him to go. On balance he should go after comments before and after the Liverpool match.
No leader says we are not at the level of the opponents. You can say it will take a great effort and belief...
Parker was media savvy enough to know what he was doing and saying.

He said it after the Bristol City friendly and then we went and beat Villa. Never known a manager make those sort of comments

Shouldn’t underestimate how hard it is to get promotion back to the prem. Norwich and Watford did it by keeping most of the squad in tact but we released ten players.

Thus Parker was a very good appointment for us. Was he the right man for us in the prem? Hard to tell but he is right the squad is weak and it is a tough ask whoever is in charge

Easier to get a better manager in the prem now than this time last year
I don't agree that we have a weak squad. We need a manager that can play the right tactics, the right formations, the right players in the right positions and motivate them. Then we have a very reasonable, if not above average squad.

I don't think Tindall was anywhere near as bad as some make out...and Woodgate was more than adequate ..the players must take some of the blame across the whole period since EH left.
SP was only the tip of the iceberg with this...and the whole Hierarchy needs to apply introspection to their roles. .that means Max too ...maybe time to sell up and allow fresh impetus to the clubs future....the potential is immense with the catchment area of BCP, Dorset, East Devon, Somerset, West Hants and South Wiltshire...
And like i've said before. .Poole has double the population of Burnley !

Agree. Its a decent squad, certainly capable of staying up with the right appointment and probably a couple of new players.

I quite liked Woodgate and he didn't do a bad job. Missing out in the play offs was unfortunate but he NEVER blamed anyone .......except the ref!

No wonder is it if after a handful of games he then wants them gone?
Maybe now we can keep Dembele.
I think a fair few of the players who were on their way out under Parker will now be reconsidered for a squad place. As I wrote earlier, we need to avoid getting fixated on having a PL quality squad, we need to ensure that we maintain a young, strong Championship squad, which we probably currently have. We can then try to coach them up to a higher level and give them the opportunity to prove themselves whenever we are up there.

A decade in the Championship, playing in the top half, fighting for silverware with the odd brief foray into the PL from time to time sounds like a bright future for AFCB to me. That could be both sustainable and compatible with the infrastructure investment we will need for the club to grow.
