Non-Anyone have an update on AlGard?

Thank you Al for your many contributions over the years to the forums and the AFCB club and family we are all part of. I hope you are getting the love and care you need from your loved ones, and that you are resting as comfortably as possible at this time. Best wishes.

Bloody hell Al.... I don't really read twitter but hopefully you'll see these messages.

Struggling with words but this is sad news for those of us who have laughed, agreed, disagreed and sparred with you on here for what seems like an absolute eternity. Through the bad times, the good times, the 'factual' times ;) and the absolute brilliant times.

Keep fighting and I hope the family and close friends are staying strong at this difficult time.

Oh dear Al, I’m so very very sorry to read your sad message.

We’ve had many head to heads over the years, all borne from a mutual passion for our club. And of course it’s been a bit fun for both of us along the way. More latterly I’ve admired your brave fortitude - how you found the energy and strength to post your recent vlogs was inspiring - especially with the treatment you had to endure.

I wish you a painless onward journey and thank you for making this (and Red’n’Black previously) such a special place to converse, argue, laugh, debate etc., You will be greatly missed in so many respects.

My thoughts are now very much with you and your family. In the immortal words of Vinnie J “it’s been emotional”.

Au revoir.

Really difficult to put into words how sadly upsetting that tweet is. I've never met Al, followed his vlogs or on Twitter, only read his contributions on here. It's a mark of the man, his personality, humour, bravery and unflinching loyalty to this club, his news has overshadowed the takeover.
He's one of a very few that could upstage the club getting a billionaire owner. Rest peacefully Al ( when it happens ), thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I’m not really sure what to say, like many I’ve been familiar with Al on here for many years. Very sad, He’s been a massive part of the forum and the club. I hope you are as comfortable as possible.

Massive part of the club and forum for sure. We're all behind you Al and I have little doubt you'll be posting FACTs on here again soon. Keep fighting fella.

Never met you Al but keep battling, as we all know you will, and trust you are comfortable and surrounded by your loving family and friends during this sad time - your family and friends on this forum and other places will be thinking of you no matter what.
It's been a pleasure to hear your facts and thoughts on the club and my respect goes out to you for the bravery you have shown over the last few months.

In my thoughts,
Graeme

There's some beautiful posts on here, I just hope he's able to read them...FACT.

Difficult to know what to say because you don't want to write the guy's obituary when he's still fighting but if there's a chance he'll read how highly people on here thought of him it might make a difference one way or another.

Al is a guy I've never met and the interactions we have had over the years have been mostly arguments so by rights I shouldn't find it so upsetting to read about him nearing the end but it is a real gut punch. Without question he's one of the best posters on here, a guy who's made the place tick. Legendary wind-ups, pure AFCB passion, brilliant sense of humour and never took himself took seriously.

If this is the end it's a travesty that it only lasted as long as it did but as far as I'm concerned it was a brilliant performance deserving a hell of a cheeseboard when he gets upstairs.

I've argued with him too, but he's one of our own...FACT.
